GuardPoint10 - SQL Port Configuration

If you are having issues with connecting to GP10 via a workstation please ensure the correct port is set with SQL Server Configuration Manager.

Follow the below steps to add in the SQL port, allowing the client to connect to the server.

  1. On the Server machine open SQL Server Configuration Manager

  2. Expand SQL Server Network Configuration

  3. Select Protocols for AC8SQL

  4. Right click on TCP/IP

  5. Select the tab IP Address

  6. Scroll to the bottom to find IPALL

  7. Under TCP Port set this to 49999

  8. Click apply

You will then need to restart the SQL service which also can be done from Server Configuration Manager > SQL Server Services

  1. Select SQL Server Services

  2. Select SQL Server (AC8SQL)

  3. Right click

  4. Select Restart
