Connecting Radio Receivers C4 Protocol

Created by Admin Sensor, Modified on Thu, 4 May, 2023 at 4:13 PM by Admin Sensor

When using multi-button transmitters it is recommended to use the ‘C4+’ protocol.

Within this protocol, only one radio receiver interface connected as reader No.1 is needed to control up to 4 doors:  the interface sends to the controller, in addition to the card code, the code of the button used, from 1 to 4 (when the emitter get such buttons). The controller then proceeds the information as if it came from reader 1 to 4.

Connect the interface RF as follows :

Interface RF:

IC2000/4000

+ (12Vdc)

J7/12Vdc

- (0v)

J7/0v.

S (Signal)

J1/CLK1

Notes:

- To use the C4+ interface, position and the TPL Dip switches JP4/6,7,8 in ‘on, off, on’ position and DS2 to off, off, off, off

- The controller firmware version (Eprom or Flash) must be  03/04/02 or latest.

- Type of cable : 3 core shielded wire, 22 AWG.  Max. length: 200m

- Refer to the Interface RF manufacturer manual for details on setting the radio receiver protocol to C4+.
