GuardPoint 10's Area Management module is highly configurable, allowing users to define spaces such as buildings or rooms as named areas for monitoring cardholder occupancy. This feature enables GuardPoint 10 to track cardholders within the access-controlled environment. The capacity of each area can be set, and when that capacity is reached, a chosen action can be triggered, such as keeping doors closed, sending an email, or sounding an alarm. The module also displays the real-time movements of cardholders, allowing users to monitor their whereabouts. Reports can be generated on the fly and printed either by the user or as an action triggered by an alarm. For example, a rollcall report can be generated at the end of each day.
