Installing GuardPoint10 software

Instructions for installing GuardPoint10 software:

1. Download the GuardPoint10 software installation file to your desktop. The software can be downloaded from the following link: GP10 1.90.3
   
   
2. Launch the installation wizard by double-clicking the GuardPoint10 installation file.
   
   
3. If you do not have Administrator rights on the PC, right-click on the EXE file and select ‘Run As Administrator’ from the context menu.
   
   
4. Accept the terms of the license on the welcome screen.
   
   This is the GuardPoint10 server installation. It should always be the first installation at the site. During a new installation, a message box will appear asking for the "param code", which is the keyword of the customer. Enter the key word "jisTio1" to proceed with the installation.
   
   
5. Choose the installation option that you require:
   
   a. Full Installation:
   This is the GuardPoint10 server installation. It should always be the first installation at the site.
   
   b. Workstation:
   This is the client installation. It will link to both the GuardPoint10 server and the SQL server. If you have chosen the workstation option, a list of GuardPoint10 servers to which the client may connect will be provided. Select the relevant server and click ‘Install’.
6. The installation will start and once completed, click ‘Restart’ to complete the installation process.
   
   
7. Note that a site may only have one machine with a full installation, but as many workstation installations as the license permits.
   
   
8. If a previous version of GuardPoint10 is already running at a customer’s site and you need to retain the existing database, please open a Sensor support ticket and they will provide you with an alternative installation process.
