How to enable log files when installing

If you are experiencing issues when installing the software it is beneficial to view the log files. 


Installing log files are not switched on by default. 


To enable them please see the below 


  1. Open a cmd windows as administrator
  2. Change the directory to the location of where the setup file is located 
  3. Type the setup filename with -l log.txt at the end (eg. “GuardPoint10.1.90.44.exe -l log.txt”)
  4. Press Enter.



The setup will start and the logs will be written in the log.txt file in the same folder.
