How to configure door monitoring within GP10

You can easily set up monitored doors in GP10, with warnings from the readers.

For each reader you want to monitor in GP10, go to the "Infrastructure" tab and open the reader settings.

  • Select or make a note of the input for "Door Contact".
  • The default timeout for the door alarm is 10 seconds. To change it go to the "Access Mode" tab and adjust the "Door alarm delay" option.
  • If you also want the reader to buzz if the door is being held open, go to the "Miscellaneous" tab and tick the "Door alarm buzzer" option.
  • Click "Save & Close".

  • Next go to "Alarm Zone" and create a new alarm zone.\
  • Give it a name and select a weekly program for the alarm zone to be active.
  • Click "Select Inputs", and tick the input(s) from the previous step.
  • Click "Select" and then "Save"

Now when those doors are held open to long or forced open, an alarm will trigger in GP10 and the reader will buzz.
